I think it is extremely hard to absorb this information in any other way than immediately dismissing it as sensationalist. It’s easy to do. After all first world countries are not as impacted as the developing countries are. Despite clear evidence and the sound of the warning knell, we ignore it at our peril. Why? – because the narrative has been captured by the elites who are unwilling to move from their comfort zone to a space of high uncertainly with regards to addressing the issue.
